Groundhog Day Craft for Kids

January 30, 2013momstownBaby, Family Life, Preschooler, School Life, ToddlersNo comments
Its almost Groundhog day and here is a quick and cute footprint craft to make with the kids and a great excuse to watch the weather to see if that groundhog sees his shadow!

With our niece here from Zimbabwe, we were discussing what exactly Groundhog day was since she had never heard of it.  She thought it was such a fun day we decided to spend this very cold day in Red Deer creating our very own Groundhog Day craft!

My almost 3 year is all about feet and hand painting, so here is what we came up with!
Her foot is the groundhog, her fingers are the grass, and she drew the face on her groundhog!

I also found a really cute poem online and wrote it on her masterpiece!

Now we are all ooking forward to February 2nd to see if the Groundhog will see his shadow or not!!

What is your prediction?
