Baby Basics: Every Little Step Footprint Washcloth Keepsake

July 8, 2014momstownCraftNo comments
An alternative to just stamping your baby’s adorable feet onto paper, you can also create a beautiful keepsake washcloth!

Babies love bath time! What better keepsake for looking back at how tiny their feet were, or personalizing a memento for them than a footprint washcloth for tubby time!

Remember Bath time is an awesome to have fun with some sensory play at the same time!

Here is a super fun craft for bath time paints that is so easy to make at home!

momstown Central Alberta's  Baby Basis Program was all about BATHING! What works and what doesn't!

We had lots of Chatter about how often you should bathe baby, what works for really dry skin or eczema and lots of giggles about "You know its time to bath baby when…. 1) there is dirt in the fat rolls 2) they smell funky 3) You finally bath them and the water is black and they come out glowing 4) their hair is so greasy from layers of sunscreen 5) you out it off because of all the water play because its summer!

Another hot topic about bathing is POOP in the tub!! Has it happened to you and what did you do?

"Poop happens.  Empty the tub and shower off, move on to bedtime… Then clean the tub."

"Very first time it happened, my son still bathed in the kitchen sink, so I just filled the other side and carried on… Later cleaned the sink my husband made me buy a baby tub after that though.."

"Yup. Scooped it out, flushed it down the toilet, drained and wiped the tub down with Mr clean, then rinsed, refilled and continued with bath time."

"Haha it's happened twice with my oldest. First time she was still Exclusively Breastfeeding and it was a mess and the second time it was solid and I laughed and got her out and then called my husband up and told him she left him a present in the bathtub and made him clean it up. It happens and you deal with it."

"I remember the first time it happened my husband stormed out of the bathroom and declared"we're selling the house" lol…with 3 kids now he's less dramatic about it".
