Need a date night with your other half? Here are some great winter activities that are man-approved and full of adventure. Don't forget to dress warm!

Moonlight Snowshoeing – Kerry Wood Nature Centre

Head over to Kerry Wood Nature Centre for a moonlit walk in the park, complete with snowshoes. Pack along a thermos of hot chocolate to share, or grab some on the way home. Snowshoe rentals are available on site for $5 per person/hour making it a great price for a romantic outing.

Sleigh Ride Date Night – Heritage Ranch

Enjoy a 1/2 hour private sleigh ride, three course gourmet dinner for two served in a semi-private dining space, a fine bottle of wine of your choice, a long stemmed rose, and a box of chocolates. Rservations required, $149.00 plus GST.

Rebel's Hockey Game

Grab your jersey's, stop by the concession for hot dogs and beers, then cheer your heart's out for the Rebel's! This date night is a fun addition to your calendar, so book your sitter for the kids. Tickets start at $19.75 plus GST.

Skiing, Snowboarding, and Tobogganing – Canyon Ski Resort

Get ready to have an active and fun filled date at Canyon. Rentals for tubes, skis, and snowboards are available if you don't have your own. Canyon has discounted lift tickets on Thrifty Thursdays until 9pm for $25, or make an evening of it on the weekend for $22 to $40 plus GST (time depending).

Ice Skating – Bower Ponds Recreation

Grab your skates, or rent a pair at the Bower Ponds pavillion. Winter hours are from 4:30-9pm on weekdays and 11-9pm on weekends. Hot beverages and snacks are available through concession, or stop for something on the way to or from your excursion. Skate sharpening is also available for a nominal fee if your blades are needing some attention before hitting the ice.
