Here is a fun sugar cookie recipe to create Dinosaur Fossils!

Here is an easy and TASTY sugar cookie recipe to make with the kids, and they get to create fossils! All you need is Dinosaurs to use to please their footprints in the cookie dough!

 

Ingredients:

2 3/4 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup of butter, softened
1 1/2 cups of white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Here is the FUN!

Have dinosaurs handy to create fossil cookies by creating footprints through your cookie dough!

Also we used Dinosaur Cookie Cutters to create Dino Cookies!

When the playing is compelted, place onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
