momstown celebrated Mother's Day on Friday with a Potluck Dinner! It was supposed to be an outdoor picnic & hot dog roast – but mother nature had other plans for us, so we moved indoors. Ahhh – Alberta in the spring – you just never know!
We started off making some lovely picture frames for mom. Alex made this piece of art with no help from anyone (other than applying the glue for him) – I just love it! Definitely a keeper!
I forgot my camera, so you'll have to take my word for it when I say we had a really great dinner. Everyone brought something – and in the end we had quite a spread! See below for my recipe for Beef on a Bun – as requested!
After dinner we pulled out the parachute. The kids loved running underneath and popping popcorn (aka balls) on top. The highlight was definitely going for a ride on top of it while the mom's pulled it around in a circle. They all piled on at once – babies and big kids alike!
We'll be attempting another potluck picnic & hot dog roast in June for Father's Day – so if you haven't yet, register now for your trial membership and join the fun! If you're already a member – check out the message board today for your Mother's Day gift!
